It is as a small-scale, and can be individually ordered from the Swiss furniture manufacturer Girsberger in Bützberg BE. In the BS-Collection a contemporary Design and precious hand-work connect. In addition, Daniel Hunziker developed for the Service Station and partner companies design furniture in small batches.

The story of de Sede began in 1962 as a small but highly respected saddlery in Klingnau. The craftsmen of this workshop dedicated themselves to processing furniture leather to the highest standard, combining years of experience with great care to create unique, hand-crafted leather furniture. In 1965, the family transformed the business into a joint-stock company, de Sede AG, but the original values and principles remained firmly in place. Since then, the company has developed rapidly. Renowned international designers have contributed to the creation of the furniture, with sophisticated designs expertly crafted with precision and traditional Swiss craftsmanship. This helped the brand gain a global reputation very quickly.

USM Haller

USM was founded in 1885 as a metal and lock manufacturing operation by Ulrich Schärer. The company's headquarters and factory are located in Münsingen. In the early decades of the 20th century, USM specialised in window hardware, followed by decorative hinges and precision-crafted iron products. In 1961, Paul Schärer joined the company, leading the family business into its third generation. With a background in engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, he was determined to modernise the company. He began by constructing a private manufacturing facility and company headquarters for USM. Schärer enlisted the Swiss architect Fritz Haller to design a new factory and corporate building. Haller introduced a modular steel frame construction system that allowed for the necessary flexibility to accommodate various manufacturing processes and offered potential for future expansion. In 1963, Haller and Schärer developed a modular furniture system that mirrored the modularity and versatility of the new building. This furniture, like the building itself, was not based on individual pieces, but on an adaptable, reconfigurable system of steel modules. This system was designed to meet the diverse needs of the factory and office spaces. At the heart of the system is the elegant and innovative ball-and-socket connection.

Embru-Werke AG

Embru, a company specialising in iron and metalwork, was founded in 1904 in the Rüti factory. In the 1930s, modern tubular steel furniture was added to the product range, and the company began collaborating with designers and architects, including Marcel Breuer and Werner Max Moser. During this time, the first height-adjustable school tables were created. After the Second World War, Embru expanded its focus to the development of hospital and care beds. By the late 1970s, the company launched one of the world’s most successful office furniture programmes, "Ergo Data". Embru produces high-quality furniture with functional design, where form and safety are key factors. The furniture is not only durable but also designed with environmental sustainability in mind. Production in Switzerland ensures that these high standards are met. Around 200 employees across multiple locations work for Embru.

Horgen Glarus

Founded in 1880 in Horgen, Zurich, the Glarus-based company Horgenglarus, established in 1902, is the oldest chair and table manufacturer in Switzerland. For over 135 years, it has been a global leader in furniture manufacturing, renowned for its design and quality. Le Corbusier, for example, showcased chairs from Horgenglarus in his "Pavillon de l'Esprit Nouveau" at the "Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs" in Paris, presenting them as prime examples of a modern, forward-thinking approach to living culture.

Strässle Switzerland AG

In 1886, in Kirchberg, Toggenburg, saddler Gottlieb Strässle opened a business specialising in saddlery, upholstery, and carriage building after many years of experience. In 1929, his son, who had trained as an interior decorator in Nice, took over the family business. That same year, he showcased his first contemporary collection of cushions at the Swiss Trade Fair in Basel. This marked the beginning of their specialisation in the production of groundbreaking seating furniture. In 1930, his brother, Alois, joined the company. Numerous models from their collections are now featured in the book "Furniture History" and listed as significant designs in the "Eichberger Collection", including the "Arco" and "Nonna" chairs by Paul Tuttle, the fiberglass and polyester "Sitwell" furniture by Hans Bellmann, and the "Divan" model by S.L. Bensinger. Today, production still follows the same principles: sophisticated design, high-quality materials, and exceptional craftsmanship. Premium aniline leather, processed by experts, completes these unique seating and coffee tables, offering a dream-like touch and lasting durability.

Porzellanfabrik Langenthal

The Porzellanfabrik Langenthal (known as "Porzi") was founded in 1906 in Langenthal, Switzerland, in the Bernese Oberaargau region. The early years were marked by the native style of the painters and the artistic direction of Rudolf Münger, who introduced floral patterns, garlands, soldiers, and costume characters that reflected the national style. The factory aimed to produce items that resonated with local tastes. With the arrival of artistic director Fernand Renfer, the company shifted towards modernity. Floral designs on vibrant backgrounds, influenced by Art Nouveau, evolved into highly stylised motifs inspired by Art Deco, all while highlighting the pure white porcelain. This period, between the two World Wars, is considered one of the factory's golden eras, and the pieces from this time are highly sought after by collectors today. Since 1925, Langenthal has been part of the Swiss Werkbund, a movement that advocated for the integration of aesthetic principles with industrial production techniques. It also called for a harmonious relationship between form and function. In 1956, the creation of the Artistic Forms and Décor Studio took place, with Fernand Renfer being supported by his son, Pierre, as the head. The studio not only designed original and contemporary models but also developed a sophisticated artistic department. It was here that collaborations took place with professional designers, painters, and sculptors to bring new ideas to life.
